This festschrift honors not only George Pilitsis the professor, who was a superb teacher and scholar, but the friend and colleague of many who desired to honor him in death even as they esteemed his friendship and scholarship in life. The essays deal with topics ranging from the art and literature of ancient Greece, Byzantium and Orthodox Church to the literature, poetry and music of modern Hellenism, as well as theology and history.
